Adriana Mancini founded Students4H20

I recently got to photograph a very special young woman, Adriana Mancini, for an award she received from the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. Her inner beauty comes out in these portraits! Adriana leads Students4H2O, which she founded to encourage students to be a part of the solution to end the global water crisis. Her efforts have helped raise more than $100,000 to provide clean water and sanitation to developing countries.

Adriana attended Clark Advanced Learning Center, an excellent charter high school here in Martin County. My son Daniel graduated from there in 2019.

Adriana was nervous about our photo shoot for the award announcement. We met at Memorial Park near Downtown Stuart. As we talked and walked, we chatted and she told me about Students4H20. Talking about her passion took the focus off of her and helped her relax. After about 45 minutes, I said, “I think we are done!” She was surprised at how fast the time went by and was smiling.

“Some people dislike having their picure taken,” Adriana said. “I am one of them. You made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and are an AMAZING photographer! I truly appreciate your professionalism and compassion.”

Adriana and her mom chose the image below as a Canvas Image Wrap to give for Father’s Day. Her dad has always taught her to live by the words on the bracelet.

A local story about the award was published in The Treasure Coast Brief of Knowhere News.
