"This Mother’s Day we are very grateful for our beautiful Mom," say sisters Kerry Caruso and Colleen Schramm. "She has always been an inspiration as a strong, confident independent woman. Especially this year when we dove into this new venture purchasing Tootsies. She had also taught us the importance of giving back by example. She worked and volunteered for Mary’s Home for many years and continues to work full time for House of Hope. We adore you Mom!"

Dultmeier Photography and Tootsies collaborate

For Mother’s Day 2021, Tootsies in Downtown Stuart and Dultmeier Photography created an event for moms and the people most important to them! During the event, almost $1,000 was raised for Mary’s Home!

The two community-minded businesses joined forces to host “Mom & Me,” a charity portrait event with proceeds benefiting Mary’s Home of the Treasure Coast. Diane Dultmeier created portraits of moms with their adult kids, their little kids and their grandkids when she created a fun pop-up photography studio inside Tootsies Stuart in Downtown Stuart Florida.

With a $99 donation to Mary's Home, participants received a short portrait session plus a small keepsake of their favorite image. In addition, for the two days of the event, Tootsies donated 10% of total store sales, and gave each participant a fun goody bag.

The 20-minute Mom & Me sessions were available by appointment only. Before their session Diane gave suggestions about what to wear and other ideas to get the most out of the fun session.Portraits were created on a light backdrop with classic beauty-enhancing lighting.

In addition to the Keepsake Mini Portrait included with the donation to Mary’s Home, participants were able to choose additional portrait artwork like finished, hand-retouched portraits to be ready in time for Father’s Day gift giving.

Why Portraits with Mom?

"I love the little boy he is becoming and the man he will grow to be," says Brodie's mom Alexa Krivanek. "His laugh is the most beautiful sound in the world. Brody never fails to bring a smile to my face even on the hard days. His love is contagious. I love his energy, his excitement for the little things, & how quick he is learning. I love how much he loves his dad & I. Having portraits with my son is important because I know one day the little boy I am holding in the portraits will grow to be bigger than me and one day all he will have is a picture of me. No matter how I look I want to make sure I’m in them so he always has something to look back on. He will be able to look back and cherish these memories forever.”

I’m so glad I have these images of me with my kids!

I love these kids! These images are from a beach session in 2015 when I handed the camera to my niece. My kids keep life interesting and through our ups and downs together, we always have a special bond. I cherish these images! At the moment, I won't get this kind of hug from them. But love can be expressed in other ways too, even if it is just a little smile shining through their teenage demeanor.
