A while back, my niece put a post on her Facebook wall that said “Poorly explain what you do for a living.” So I wrote “I capture people.” After I typed it, I thought “Ooh, that sounds a little creepy.” I hadn’t put much thought into it and that’s just what came out. It went through my head that people who don’t know me could think I was a police officer, a bounty hunter, perhaps a soldier.
Read MoreWhen I do a photo shoot, I quickly assess who is the most silly person in the group. Then, when I need help with giggles that turn into great smiles, I ask for it. Lots of times it’s Dad. And even when he thinks he’s not silly, he usually is anyway, without even trying too hard. This video is an example of that. Just a dad being himself with his kids. I love it!

It was taken by either my grandma or grandpa I’m guessing, because we have others from that same moment, in various groupings, but sadly we have no complete photo with all of us during their visit to see us.
